Singer Ariana Grande has given a shocking background history on her new song "Break Your Heart Right Back" featured in her upcoming album, "My Everything."

According to the 21-year-old popstar, the song was inspired by a true to life incident when her boyfriend cheated on her with a man. The "Problem" singer revealed to Metro's Guilty Pleasures, "There is a song called Break Your Heart Right Back which is about a boy that cheats on a girl with another boy."

"It's one of my favorites on the album and it's really funny because I believe it has happened to me. I'm not 100 per cent positive but I'm 99.9 per cent positive."

The 21-year-old added, "I would rather he cheats on me with a guy than with a girl any day! If I found out my boyfriend was gay, I would be like 'OK!' I'd be so relieved."

Now, given that Grande has recently broken up with on/off boyfriend Jai Brooks, may are wondering if the boyfriend she's describing is Brooks. Responding to the growing rumors, Grande tweeted the following message:

In a related story, Grande's brother Frankie, 31, is currently participating in the US version of Big Brother. Grande has recently come to the defense of her sibling after a homophobic slur was thrown her brother's way, noted Attitude UK.

Ariana posted a video of her brother on Instagram and one user took the opportunity to call Frankie a "homo." The pop princess quickly jumped to defend her brother and replied to the user:

"...that "homo" is the fiercest, most incredible, funniest, most intelligent, kind hearted and most LOVED person on the face of the planet! He also cleaned up his game and told the truth to everybody in the house WHICH by the way, nobody else on the show has done. so I don't give a flying f*ck if or when he comes home!!! he is incredible and I am SO proud!!!! ..... oh and also.... "that homo" gets more ass than you'll ever get in you life. k miss thing?"

Now that's what you call sibling love.

Catch the track in Grande's new album "My Everything" when it's released in the in the UK on August 22 and in the US on August 25.
