If there's an Oscar category for Best Sexual Performance, then Jamie Dornan may most likely grab it for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.

According to E! Online, "Fifty Shades of Grey" screenwriter, Kelly Marcel, joked about Jamie Dornan's performance as Christian Grey during the Q&A portion of the event, "An Evening in the Writer's Room," hosted by Reza Aslan.

"Apparently Jamie is great at being soft and hard at the same time. Which is hard to do for an actor! He's going to get an Oscar!," the writer joked.

Marcel also explained the challenges of writing a screenplay for the bestselling erotic book. She recalled how she had to describe everything in full detail.

"It was really embarrassing when you're doing studio notes around the table with 12 people," the British screenwriter added.

Daily Mail UK reports that it was last year when the "Terra Nova" television series writer mentioned about her eagerness to take on the daring project.

"There is a book... there [was] a template to follow on that one. It's all laid out. So no, I didn't worry about it," the writer told Vanity Fair.

Daily Mail adds that when Marcel was asked if "she watched any TV for reference" she reportedly said in jest: "Apart from the porn? Lots of porn. No, there wasn't really anything."

Belfast Telegraph recalls how Dornan was cast for the starring role. First choice, Charlie Hunnam, had to beg off from the role due to schedule issues.

"I was sort of pretending I wasn't waiting, but the phone was in my hand, halfway to my ear," Dornan said.

"The Fall" actor is already used to undressing in front of the camera because he had shot sexy scenes during his modeling days.

After the erotic film, Dornan is all set to take a different lead role for an upcoming military movie, "The Siege of Jadotville," wrote Fansshare.

The "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie also stars Dakota Johnson as the naïve Anastasia Steele and many more. It is set to hit the big screen a day before Valentine's Day 2015.
