Kylie Jenner made a fashion move during her 17th birthday that involves altering the look of her shoulder-length locks. The reality star shared a photo of her shaved lower head on Instagram.

In the snapshot, the teen dips her head down, lifts up her hair and shows off the buzzed bottom part of her head, right above the nape. She captioned the photo, "So this happened yesterday."

Kylie has always been the most adventurous of her siblings when it comes to style. She's done blue tips in the past along with bleached hair so this minor buzz that can be hidden behind her hair is something that isn't really out of the box for the reality star.

While the star hasn't gone full-on bald, she showed off her birthday trim during the 2014 Teen Choice Awards. According to E! News, Jenner said on the red carpet, "I shaved the back of my head for my birthday. I was just doing my hair and I was like: ‘Why not shave the back of my head?'"

Unlike her sisters, the youngest girl in the clan has preferred a shorter cut, opposite of what her other famous sisters like to sport. While the rest of the ladies like their long wavy locks, Kylie has gone for a shorter length that has more volume.

Her older celebrity sis approved of the hairstyle. Per US Magazine, the 33-year-old Kim Kardashian revealed, "I did that haircut when I was 12 years old." Kanye West's significant other added, "I said the cool thing to do was to shave the whole underneath of your hair and then you put your hair in a ponytail and they say the shaved look."

The site further noted that Kylie may not be the only one to sport the funky hairstyle as another Kardashian might follow suit. "I might do it," said Kim. "I should."

Kylie raised a few eyebrows recently during her birthday celebration as she was snapped with some fairly older male celebrities at an LA night club including 34-year-old rapper The Game, Justin Bieber and rapper Tyga with bottles of D'Ussé cognac. Jenner had only just turned 17 years old, reported The Daily Mail UK.

"thank u everyone & T for the cake & JB for singing happy bday to me. I love u guys," posted the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star the following morning.
