The new "Camp X ray" movie trailer shows Kristen Stewart in a different light as the former "Twilight" star portrays the role of a guard.
The film revolves around the plot of a relationship that develops between a female guard and a detainee, states RTE.ie.
The "Camp X Ray" movie cast also includes John Carroll Lynch, Lane Garrison and Payman Maadi among many others.
The 24-year-old actress portrays a Guantanamo Bay guard named Amy, whose job is to make sure that all detainees do not take their own lives during imprisonment. On the other hand, the detainee with whom she develops a relationship with is Ali.
Stewart confessed that she went through training with the Marines as part of her preparation for the "Camp X Ray" movie.
According to E! Online, the movie is based on a true story that happened in a detention center located inside the Guantanamo Bay, which is considered a controversial U.S. prison that has incarcerated several alleged Islamic militants, even without going through trial. President Barrack Obama has expressed his intent to close the prison, more recently, in his State of the Union address.
Filmoria adds that Stewart's sort of comeback movie was a huge surprise to many, especially when numerous critics at the Sundance Film Festival were all praises for the actress' heartfelt performance.
The same goes for her co-star, Peyman Moaddi, who once impressed audiences in the Oscar nominated project titled "A Separation."
Robert Pattinson's ex-girlfriend is also the latest cover girl for Elle Magazine's September 2014 issue.
CT explains that K-Stew's feature will reveal how she's starting over with her career and it will also shed light on her signature frown.
"Never at any point have I sat down and plotted how I should proceed from here on. As soon as you start thinking about your career as trajectory - like, as if you're going to miss out on some wave or momentum - then you're never doing anything for yourself anyway. Then you're, actually, specifically working for the public. You're turning yourself into a bag of chips," the "Snow White and the Huntsman" actress said in her Elle interview.
The actress is finishing a film titled "Equals" along with Nicholas Hoult, the reported ex-boyfriend of "Hunger Games" star, Jennifer Lawrence.
The "Camp X ray" movie is set to hit the big screen on October 17.
