As Apple's September 9 iPhone event approaches, more and more leaks of the supposedly assembled iPhone 6 devices are hitting the Internet. This newest leak claims to show the front panel of an assembled 4.7-inch iPhone 6.
New images were shared by Taiwanese blog, AppleClub (via 9to5Mac and Google Translate), show both the front panel and internal workings of the 4.7-inch device. Per 9to5mac, it's obvious to the naked eye that the display is larger and slimmer than the existing iPhone 5 and 5S models currently out in the market.
However, with these photos, there's no way to concretely establish if the display glass used in the device is indeed the rumoured indestructible sapphire crystal glass. There are varying reports regarding this feature, with some saying it'll only be released in limited quantities for both devices; others indicate it's solely for the larger 5.5-inch model while others say the glass has been omitted as the material for the screen display.
MacRumors noted that the images are aligned with the dominant buzz around the soon-to-be-released smartphone, with the images displaying the alleged device's features. The photos indicate: "a larger screen, a thinner bezel, rounded edges, and a cutout for the Touch ID home button" along with "the front-facing camera and the ambient light sensor located on the left and at the top respectively, which is similar to the design of the iPhone 4."
Apple is widely expected to debut its next generation iPhone this fall, specifically, recent reports indicate that the unveiling will take place at the special Apple media activity on September 9. Should the device be released in a month's time, per the usual Apple timeline, the phone should be available in the market after a week and a half, shared PanArmenian.
One of the most consistent rumors surrounding the new iPhone is its believed availability in two model sizes, the boosted 4.7-inch and a first phablet model, a 5.5-inch smartphone tablet. It's unclear what device will be launched at the event, but word is rampant that the 5.5-inch device may not be available at the same time.
In other news, TechRadar shares images of the new iPhone in a retail box leaked photos, which the source reveals, were taken by a beta tester for Apple.
With the way that the Cupertino-based tech company is staying mum, we'll have to wait and see what the company is willing to unveil in terms of information during their upcoming event.
What're your thoughts on the photos of the supposed iPhone 6?
