"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" director may have just confirmed the appearance of Aquaman in the upcoming mass superhero flick. The famed director called a radio station to air his thoughts after he heard some DJs trash-talk the water warrior.

According to IGN, Snyder was heading to the studio when apparently, he couldn't help but respond to their views on the DC hero and called in to give his two cents.

"You guys were disparaging, a little bit, Aquaman," Snyder told the hosts of Detroit's 97.1 The Ticket's Stoney and Bill radio show per SlashFilm. "I don't want to give anything away about the movie or anything like that, but Aquaman has some cool abilities. People are like, 'Oh what? Does he talk to animals? Because that seems like what he does. Or fish?'"

From the voices of the disc jockeys, they seemed apprehensive to believe it was Snyder, but they continued on with the discussion, anyway.

"The cool thing with Aquaman is he has his trident. You have to realize that could cut the flesh of Superman if they came in contact. That's a thing that's in the canon. He's super strong because, of course, he can exist at these super deep depths. So when he comes up here, he's crazy strong," continued Snyder.

While there has been a lot of buzz that the waterman hero will be making an appearance in the film, courtesy of actor, Jason Momoa, this is the closest indication from someone from the film team regarding Aquaman.

Finishing up his opinion segment, Snyder said, "Anyway, not to say he's in my movie or anything like that, but he has the potential to be bad ass, that's all I'm saying."

The Wrap entertainment site has since confirmed that the caller was indeed the famed "Watchmen" director.

Catch the flick when it drops in theatres March 25, 2016, a date that was changed only last week from an original May 6 release.

"The reality now is there really isn't a bad week to open a movie," quoted IGN of Dan Fellman, Warner Bros.' president of domestic distribution. "If you look at the summer box office this year, you can see that there were so many movies, one after the other. You can start with Spider-Man, two weeks later Godzilla, and then Maleficent, and then Edge of Tomorrow, and then Jump Street and Transformers. And the one thing they all had in common, not one of them did over $250 million. We'll be the first one up [in 2016], which is very important, and we'll have six weeks before Captain America comes in."

The details as to the film's plot have been kept under wraps so we'll have to wait for a trailer or news from the production.
