The richest athlete in the world recently showed a slice of his life when he posted on Instagram just how he spends his early mornings--and the elements include a woman and a tub.
No. It's not that. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is just taking a bath, or more appropriately, being bathed.
In a video he posted on Instagram recently, the boxer is taking a sponge bath while brushing his teeth, the Bleacher Report said, quipping that if he looked at time as money, the multitasking was all for thrift.
"This is how I get my day started, everyday. - MR. MY LIFE IS THE SH*T," the caption shows, and the report said if this was the key to a great boxing career, he shouldn't change his regimen.
A Yahoo Sports report made the same association. It said the "controversial boxing legend" who boasts a 46-0 record (with 26 via knockout) knows very well how routine impacts a professional athlete positively.
In the video--now with more than 81,000 likes--a female assistant gives the reigning WBC welterweight champion his sponge bath, another Yahoo Sports report said. Guy's "I Like," released in 1989 and used for the 2000 flick "Love & Basketball," plays in the video.
Floyd Mayweather Jr., aka Money, likes to flaunt his wealth on social media, the report further said, adding that the 37-year-old has been especially boastful on Instagram.
The same report said Mayweather can sometimes post videos every 15 seconds, all bragging about his life.
News.com.au explained that the nickname "Money" comes from his own effort to make his lavish lifestyle known to the public.
Yahoo Sports added that the bath compares to Prince Akeem of the 1988 fiction "Coming to America," starring Eddie Murphy.
Fox Sports agreed with the observation, saying that an early morning scene on the movie shows the Zamunda prince sponged down by women.
Calling the practise absurd, News.com.au reminisced the movie scene. One woman said, "The royal penis is clean, your highness," the report said.
Mstarz News addressed the concern that Money may be cheating on his girlfriend Bad Medina, saying the mystery woman taking care of the daily morning ritual is a personal assistant and that there was no romantic involvement.
The Mstarz News article also quoted some Twitter fans saying among others that the rich man was too old for such a thing, was "wild" or just "so bored."
Forbes named Mayweather as the world's highest-paid athlete in June, amassing $112 million in net revenue in 2013, News.com.au said in its report.
Victories against Canelo Alvarez in September and Marcos Maidana in May made his top-spot finish possible, News.com.au added, noting that Mayweather did it with 72 minutes in fights.
Meanwhile on Instagram, he already garnered more than 28,000 comments. Since he has the resources, perhaps he could hire people to read them one by one.
