James Rodriguez, the best scoring footballer of the 2014 World Cup, is set to make his debut with Spain's Real Madrid very soon; in fact, the 23-year-old Colombian midfielder has already started training with the club. According to one media report, other players are already testing Rodriguez's skills on the pitch, planting nutmeg passes through his legs.

Rodriguez was also recently honored as one of the top 25 soccer players under 25, according to ESPN.com.

And there's a chance Rodriguez, who goes by just "James" on his soccer jersey, will make his Real Madrid debut later this month, according to the Daily Mail:

"Rodriguez could be in line to make his Madrid debut alongside Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in next week's European Super Cup against Sevilla in Cardiff. If Rodriguez, Ronaldo and Bale do start together then it will be one of the most expensive front lines ever assembled with a combined transfer value of £230m."

Photos of James alongside Cristiano Ronaldo started to show up on the Internet this week. It's the first time the superstars and new teammates have been pictured together and its already caused plenty of excitement among soccer fans.

"The Colombian forward moved to the Bernabeu last month for a £63million transfer fee, making him the fourth most expensive player in football history," according to the Daily Mail. "Consultancy firm Euromericas Sport Marketing said 345,000 Rodriguez shirts were shifted in the 48 hours after signing his Madrid contract on 22 July. "

But James isn't just about fan merchandise and his game-winning smile; Rodriquez should also more than deliver with his star power and skills. And while he still has a lot to prove, it appears the team already can't imaging starting a game without him.

"James has been training in Valdebebas and he could be ready to play in the Super Cup, too," Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said. James could make his debut when Real Madrid hit the field for the Super Cup on Aug. 12.
