Daniella Semaan, the girlfriend of Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, welcomed the player with a kiss in photo posted by the athlete on social media.

In an Instagram post, Fabregas captured his sweet reunion with Semaan and gave it the caption "Back home with my baby @4ladyd."

It can be remembered that Semaan split from her millionaire husband Ellie Taktouk last year when she was seen kissing Fabregas in a newspaper photo.

Semaan was given £1.4 million (about $2.3 million) after the divorce hearing where she also testified that Taktouk was not really rich as he is believed to be since he needed to sell their conjugal home to split the assets and pay living expenses, Telegraph reported.

A few weeks after the divorce proceedings, Telegraph added, the company controlled by Fabregas was put in a £5.4 million (almost $10 million) bid for the Grade II-listed flat. Tatouk reportedly claimed the house was worth £7 million ($11.7 million) and refused to sell it. But Telegraph noted that Fabregas eventually won the court battle against Tatouk.

The Spanish player, according to Daily Mail, was a £30 million ($50 million) acquisition from Barcelona and has been really impressive with his performance during the preseason. He has recently returned from Germany where his team lost to a 3-0 result against Bremen last Sunday.

His transfer to Chelsea, according to team boss Jose Mourinho, was the "missing piece" in the team's plan to win trophies.

"He can accelerate the intensity of the game or he can reduce it. He's very intelligent and he has goals. We are so happy and all the players have a fantastic feeling around him as they really feel that he sees football too fast, too fast," Mourinho said.

He also added in an article by Daily Mail that he thought Fabregas would always be a Barcelona player "because he is so good and being a Catalan and with the end of Xavi's career coming."

"When we heard the information he'd decided to come back to London we knew he was the one we wanted. His football brain is what we need in our team. I see him everywhere. His best quality is the speed of how he analyses the game and executes. It is difficult for him to lose the ball or make the wrong decision," Mourinho noted.

He added that he is mostly impressed with Fabregas' versatility as a team player.

"He can play as a No 10 and score or a No 8 and give most of his game to the team as we have [Nemanja] Matic as anchorman and [John Obi] Mikel. Then we have Oscar and Willian as No 10s. Cesc is both, he is the missing piece of our engine," he explained.

Aside from Fabregas, the Chelsea head has also added Filipe Luis, Didier Drogba and Diego Costa to the team roster.
