Andrew Wiggins appears to be feeling a little left out with all the hype and rumors surrounding the Kevin Love trade. As the number one pick in the draft, Wiggins is being used as a chess piece; not necessarily the coveted role he had hoped for. In an interview with ESPN, Wiggins commented that, "I just want to play for a team that wants me," insinuating that the Cleveland Cavaliers don't.

Speculation on Wiggins' future began last month when LeBron James made no mention of this year's number one draft pick in his "coming home" letter featured in Sports Illustrated. James said that he looked forward to playing with Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters, leaving Wiggins and Anthony Bennett's names off the list. Wiggins and Bennett are reportedly slated to be apart of the Kevin Love trade.

Wiggins recently signed his rookie deal with the Cavaliers, which protected him from being traded for 30 days. The 30-day freeze will be lifted on August 23, the date that many analysts are projecting the Kevin Love trade to go down.

Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press reports that, "The Timberwolves say now that they expect to trade disgruntled all-star Kevin Love and that a deal is expected Aug. 23 or Aug. 24."

"I'm saying it's most likely because Kevin has made it pretty clear that that's what he wants to do,' Wolves owner Glen Taylor told the Pioneer Press."

Both the Cavaliers and Timberwolves are not officially allowed to comment on the trade yet, but words like "most likely" are being thrown around. The specifics aren't set in stone yet, but what is known is that Andrew Wiggins will be dawning a Minnesota jersey when the season starts. The Philadelphia 76ers are also reported to be apart of the trade, with Thaddeus Young being shipped to Minnesota and Anthony Bennett going to Philly.

It's not clear what Wiggins was expecting when the Cavs drafted him. LeBron was still in Miami, and Wiggins looked to be the third member of the youthful Cleveland three. No matter how talented Wiggins is, when the best player in the league wants to use him as trade leverage, it has to happen.

Kevin Love is the 'now' factor, while Wiggins will take a couple seasons to mature and come into his own. LeBron is at the peak performance part of his career and the Cavaliers can waste no time in hunting for championships.
