Latest rumors pointed that tech giant Apple will release a phablet in March 2014.

According to rumors, iPhone 6 will be released on the first quarter of 2014 although it just released its slew of smartphones.  March is the original launch slot of iPad; however, Apple ignored the strict calendar when it released new iPads in October 2012.

Thus, many speculated that Apple will release a new iPhone around March taking the spot. However, Apple has not confirmed yet this particular rumor.

A new iPhone 6 concept showed off a 5-inch screen display with iPad-like design. Many speculated that Apple will release a smartphone-tablet hybrid or a phablet. This new iPhone 6 concept image was from DeviantArt user iNasko.

"For a long time I have been thinking how the next iPhone could be different from the 5, so people won't be complaining, and then I figured that the iPad (2010) offered a great design, which would also fit a phone. So, taking heavy inspiration from the first iPad, this is a concept for an iPhone with a bigger 5" screen," posted by iNasko.

However, it is noticeable that the concept is lacking the new fingerprint reader in the home button that was introduced in the new iPhone 5S. It is predicted that iPhone 6 will run with Apple's latest operating system - iOS 7.

Last September 10, Apple announced the new iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. iPhone 5S is the full-fledged iPhone that features a 4-inch Retina display, aluminum casing and 8MP rear camera like the previous iPhone 5. However, the new iPhone boasts the new 64-bit A7 processor and M7 chip GPU and a biometrics reader on the home button. iPhone 5S costs $199 with two-year contract on your chosen carrier.

Meanwhile, the low cost iPhone 5C retains most of the features of iPhone 5 but comes with a plastic casing. The device is available in different colours like blue, green, yellow, white and red variants. iPhone 5C costs $99 with 24-month lock-in period.

iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C went on sale last September 20 on Apple Stores worldwide.
