A 25-year old man from the San Antonio area received three 75-year sentences for aggravated sexual assault charges.
Aaron Alvarez allegedly used social media to lure young women into a home he shared with his grandmother. He reportedly contacts women through the telephone services, QuestChat, reports San Antonio News Express.
According to prosecutors Lorina Rummel and Jan Ischy, Alvarez specifically targets women who are at least a foot shorter than him. He stands at 6 feet and 4 inches and weighs in at 260 pounds. It is reported that he scans online profiles of women and prefers those who have their heights listed.
To date, there have been a total of three women who have accused Alvarez of rape. One woman claims she has been raped in 2009 and another woman has also claimed of being raped in 2010.
Both women say that it was the first time they have met Alvarez. Both were also reportedly contacted by the alleged serial rapist through QuestChat.
The latest victim who stepped out cited an incident in 2011. Unlike the previous victims, she claims she met Alvarez through an online sex ad.
According to the victim, she would have willingly had sex with him in exchange for $160. However, Alvarez allegedly called her a racial slur - making her back out of the deal.
"He began raising his voice, disrespecting me and standing in front of the door. He stood in front of the door. He put a chair in front of the door and sat there," she narrated in a report by New York Daily News.
The victim also said that Alvarez threatened to kill her when she tried to break free and scream.
The three 75-year sentences Alvarez received Tuesday are to be served concurrently. The sentences are all linked to a woman who claims he has been raped by Alvarez several times on a night way back November 2009.
Aside from the three 75-year sentences, Alvarez is also ordered to pay $30,000 in fines. He will have to serve 30 years in prison before he is deemed eligible for parole.
Alvarez is still awaiting trial for the 2010 and 2011 aggravated sexual assault cases.
