After the long wait and speculation, more information is finally available regarding the upcoming season of ABC's "Once Upon A Time." An exclusive clip of the highly-anticipated "Frozen" cross-over into the fourth season of the hit fantasy-adventure series was shown during the 2014 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC).
"The clip opens with Frozen's Anna and Elsa putting flowers on their parents' gravestones, with Elsa telling her sister, ‘Anna, they would be so proud of you,' writes The Hollywood Reporter. The site goes on to say that the plot of "Frozen" on the show will take up where the film left off with the clip showing Elsa offering Anna a surprise for her wedding.
A second clip was featured, this time featuring Regina, the evil queen, speaking into her Mirror as she says: "I need my mirror ... there's someone standing in the way of my happiness - I need your help getting rid of them," describes Variety.
"Our show is about a family coming together. That's exactly what we love so much about Frozen, that it was two sisters and putting that family together," quoted USA Today of executive producer Edward Kitsis. "What we love is you have Elsa, who is not a villain, but she had to face a really tough growing up, contending with who she is, and that's very similar to Emma and Regina."
"Fringe" actress Georgina Haig was cast to play icy queen Elsa while Elizabeth Lail will be playing her younger, spunkier and adventure-seeking sister Anna. Another major film character appearing in the show will be iceman Kristoff, played by Scott Michael Foster.
The film's cast Lana Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle and Josh Dallas were present at the panel but Ginnifer Goodwin, Dallas' real life wife and on-screen Snow White was unable to attend. However, she gave her greeting via Skype while on the set.
Being a new father, Dallas says, reported by AP through Yahoo!, that being a dad is "the greatest thing that's ever happened" and referred to his newborn son as his soul mate.
Showing that they've got a sense of humor, The Hollywood Reporter notes that series producers created a "faux spoof of a writers' mini-camp and a cameo" regarding the fanfare the show has gotten regarding its plot inclusion of hit movie "Frozen."
Get ready as the new season of "Once Upon A Time" returns for its fourth season Sun. Sept. 28 on ABC.
