The parents of a 13-year-old football player in Texas together with a school district authority are mad with the tragic death that happened to the Texan boy. According to NBC News, 13-year-old Cameron Espinosa was noticed by his football teammates screaming "Ants! Ants! Ants!" before he collapsed.

He was rushed to the hospital but faced death after four days at the Driscoll Children's Hospital. The young teen's mother said in an interview with the NBC station that if there were more trained personnel around, then the life of his son could have been saved. The Sky News US Team reported that the school did not have any records of Cameron having an allergy to ants.

"It's been devastating to lose my baby that way," she said.

Cameron was on the process of recruitment to prepare for college football. His mom added that he always wanted to be a med student and play with athlete number 66.

During the incident, the game continued on even with Cameron being taken away to the hospital. This created more spirit of anger among the parents and other members of the school board. Some of them attested that the ant problem has been spreading out within the district.

Hector Salinas, the ex baseball coach of the district and now a board member of the Corpus Christi Independent School District mentioned that he also saw ant piles within the Haas field. With a lot of complaint calls they have been receiving, Salinas said that it is part of their plans to inspect each and every part of the school's athletic fields before they can allow any students to be on them.

Officials of the school district have not given any comment yet but since Monday, they have cancelled all the Haas activities and applied insecticide on the middle school field. It has also extended their condolences to the family of Cameron.

A funeral mass is set to happen for the young man on Thursday.
