Taking off from the chaos that ensued yesterday, after the official trailer of "Fifty Shades of Grey" was released, stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, continue the pandemonium by spilling some juicy film details.
On Thursday's edition of the TODAY show, Johnson (Anastasia Steele), explained how she was able to portray her role. "It's not like a romantic situation, it's more like technical and choreographed and... it's more of a task," she said, while giggling a little.
Aside from the appearance on the show, the following day, a particular segement, also on TODAY, shows host, Natalie Morale, visiting the film set in Vancouver, Canada. Johnson, 24, admits that she sees a lot of similarities between herself and Steele: "I can see a lot of myself in her, and I can see a lot of her in me."
While the "X Returns" actor wasn't as open to likening himself to the S&M-loving billionaire. He is a fan of Grey but they don't have much in common. "I have to be careful how I answer this," Dornan confessed on the show. "There's always something about any character that you play that you're drawn to, because you feel like it relates to something within you."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, breakout author, E.L. James, believes the film is a great adaptation of the book. She says it has all the sexual elements but it's done in a classy way.
"What I've seen hasn't been particularly watered down, so, um, yeah, I thought it was interesting," she said, fanning herself. "So that's all I'll say about that." James continued: "I think people are going to be really, really pleasantly surprised with what we've done. So I'm looking forward to that day when people can finally see it all."
So, exactly what kind of sex scenes will the fans see next year?
"It's more about visually, what our bodies look like and what we're doing so it's more like a dance, like acrobatics," Johnson shared.
"Sexual acrobatics," Dornan stressed.
Since the trailer's release on July 24, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" and Universal Pictures UK YouTube accounts have a combined number of views totalling more than 16 million to date.
