The Texas town of Kingwood has been raising a great deal of complaints due to the increasing presence of wild hogs in their place.

In a report made by The Blaze, the feral pigs have been destroying yards all over but according to one of the residents of the town, Ed Futterer, the small kids accidentally being toppled over by the pigs is their greater concern.

KPRC-TV reported that there were 50 residents who raised their high concern about the wild hogs during an association meeting of the neighborhood to render solutions to the growing issue. The number of attendees was double the usual number of people who attends such service meetings.

Another resident by the name of Marie Camarata told the news station that she recently saw a family of hogs destroying the front yard of the neighborhood.

Keith Crenshaw, an urban biologist that works with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reported that the wild pigs are observed to have been roaming the high end suburb for about a month already. The biologist himself has talked to several residents whose lawns have been rooted up by the disturbing creatures. But the community circle that has been suffering from the most damage is the Royal Shores, the one in closest proximity to Lake Houston.

In a Houston Chronicle interview, Crenshaw added that wild hogs can survive in any kind of environment since they are the highly adaptable type of pigs. In fact, he emphasized that even a well watered front yard can already be a perfect hog habitat.

With residential hunting set as illegal, the task to eliminate these hogs is already a challenging task to carry out.

The Parks and Wildlife team is not authorized to solve the problem but can only serve as technical advisors on who will be managing the elimination of the wild pigs.

For now, residents of the Texas town are worried that the problem might still just be ongoing at present moment.
