As she continues to wow the WNBA crowd with the Tulsa Shock, Skylar Diggins told O, Oprah the Magazine's August 2014 that she would do exercises anywhere, "from the shower to the closet," Gossip Center reports.
How does she do it? "Calf raises in the shower," Gossip Center lifted from the interview transcript. "I'm just standing there--I might as well be productive! I'll be in the zone singing la la la while knocking out a set of 100. I could honestly work out anywhere, from the shower to the closet."
Outside of playing point guard, the New York Times said, the 23-year-old star either fulfills her role as a Nike endorser or appears at red carpet events under Jay Z's Roc Nation management so she always has to be in tip-top shape.
"If I'm not on the court, I do high-intensity training, intervals, functional movement, strength and core," she disclosed in the report, complimenting her regimen with "clean" food--"a lot of greens, fish and chicken," she volunteered.
"I do allow cheat meals," she told the paper, however. For her, the excerpts on Gossip Center reveal, the best way to spend a Saturday is with pizza--because days off allow her "to eat stuff that I shouldn't." She also confessed a liking for Gummy Worms and addiction for reality TV shows like "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," the transcript added.
The report also notes that her biggest mistakes constitute "any ex-boyfriend." Speaking of which, among the most popular events in her life is about matters of the heart--that is, Drake's seeming fondness for her.
The Bleacher Report said last month that Diggins was "the river that gives life," reporting recently about an Instagram post showing Drake wearing a yellow, No. 4 Tulsa Shock shirt. That isn't his first post about Diggins on the social media sphere, the report said, noting he has been at it for a good period of the year--even if her longtime boyfriend Daniel Smith stands in the way.
The MTV website reported days ago about an end to the obsession, however, through a skit involving the two at the Espys. He read a poem titled "Can I Dig In?" wearing Diggins' Notre Dame jersey and she showed up behind him on stage, consenting to one kiss, if he stopped forever.
It was clear from Drake's gestures that his admiration was thanks in no small part to Diggins' fit body. About that, the woman athlete told the New York Times: "People ask about how to stay in shape, and it's all about diet. That, and sleep. I'll nap between shoot-around and game time. And I try to get six to eight hours every night."
