From the highly-anticipated Avengers to the killer series Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, Comic Con 2014 is every nerd's dream convention. Big reveals will be made on some of the biggest names in geek culture, but with 150,000 comic fans lining up to be a part of the action, the convention can be a bit overwhelming to navigate.

Have no fear; we're here to steer you toward nerd victory with the coolest and biggest happenings at Comic Con San Diego. Here are the top things you can't miss if you're seeking out nerd glory.

The Avengers
The big name Comic Con will be Avengers, with Kevin Feige, Joss Whedon and all things Avengers-related in tow. Rumor has it Avengers: Age of Ultron is coming to San Diego, and considering how massive last year's Avengers business was, it's hardly something they could pass up. Fingers crossed?

Game of Thrones
David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have already confirmed that the series is headed to Dorne next season, and the Internet is abuzz with questions on who will play the Sand Snakes, so Comic Con will be the ideal place to reveal all those casting secrets. We're sad to see all the theories head out -- it's fun to poke the nerd bears with such speculative business -- but perhaps someone will tell us where Lady Stoneheart is?

The Walking Dead
Man, watch out if you're in Hall H at the time of the Walking Dead chaos. It will be more dangerous than a rabid zombie invasion; we promise. Diehard fans will be looking for cast confirmation and series secrets, and perhaps the chance to get up close and personal with the folks in charge of the massive show.

X-Men -- and X-Men Virtual Reality
20th Century Fox will introduce an "X-Men"-themed virtual reality stunt on the show floor where people can sit in a replica of Professor X's wheelchair and virtually track down mutant Mystique.

According to Mashable, "The studio behind the revived X-Men franchise has a couple of intriguing possibilities. They could certainly show us some first-look imagery or even footage from the rebooted Fantastic Four film, which is just started shooting in Louisiana. It's awfully early for that — but it's been done."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Comic Con?
 According to Mashable, "Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is right around the corner on Aug. 8, and Paramount won't miss this opportunity to kick its marketing into high gear. At this point we've already seen a couple of full-length trailers, but expect some long clips in Hall H that won't be seen anywhere else."

The Hobbit
 According to The Verge, The Hobbit is where it's at this Comic Con. The site states that "The Battle of the Five Armies will conclude the second epic Middle Earth trilogy this December, and Peter Jackson will be on hand in San Diego this week to get everyone excited one last time. It’s about time that we all get a look at the next film, and that certainly isn’t out of the question given that Hobbit footage has been previewed at Comic-Con before."

Fight Club 2
Also according to The Verge, every nerdypants Fight Club fan should be heading over to the Fight Club 2 panel, because awesome.

"Chuck Palahniuk’s cult hit is returning with a sequel 15 years after David Fincher turned it into a wildly successful film. The sequel will be a 10-issue graphic novel written by Palahniuk, and Palahniuk will be in San Diego on Saturday to talk about it and the original Fight Club with Fincher and this new book’s illustrator."

The Science of Science Fiction
 Slate writer Phil Plait recommends this panel, saying that "This is always a great panel, featuring people who write and consult on TV and movies, where we discuss how science is treated (or mistreated) in sci fi."

Marvel's Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Superhero Science Analysis
So, the Marvel Avengers Analysis should be kinda super awesome, considering. The schedule describes it as "For the first time, S.H.I.E.L.D. divulges some of its most confidential scientific findings on what makes these superheroes unique. Moderated by Agent Phil Plait (Bad Astronomy), this training session is for S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents at Level 4 and above."

We're not entirely sure how to interpret that, but we like challenges and -- perhaps -- secrets.
