The black bears of Louisiana are back for some food and new mates since the 50s when they were last seen within the region. The black bears are returning by nature's call, traveling across Lone Star State crossing rivers of Arkansan, Louisiana and Arkansas.

According to Donna Work of the Texas A&M Forest Service, the bears are actually scared of not getting a place to stay safe in. The forest service officer also added that the bear populations are on a constant growth within other close states through the years. The last bear spotted in the eastern part of Texas was put to death within the Polk County.

A volunteer of the East Texas Black Bear Task Force, Nathan Garner, emphasized the value and essence of raising the awareness of many with regards to the comeback of the black bears. He said that the black bears will always be a part of the natural heritage of the country. And that it is a good sign for the bears to come back on their own after having forced out by various hunters even when it is illegal to kill the creatures.

Ms Work said that her own group wants to come up with activities that will educate people to know how to live in harmony with the black bears. The mammal being so big needs large spaces to live in too.

It can be helpful for everyone's knowledge how bears thrive in such kinds of environment. Black bears make their houses in giant trees, several bush pile, caves and even rock crevices. They eat anything that is made available for them. People can keep them at bay by keeping your surroundings clean and make it odor-free to lessen their being drawn.

Not many know that black bears are not so fond of getting close to people if not just for the food scents they smell.
