Alfonso Cuaron

Alfonso Cuaron is arguably the most decorated Hispanic director scoring two Oscar wins for his directing and editing of "Gravity." Critical acclaim is an important aspect when it comes to films that are more artsy than popular.

Cuaron is able to produce big blockbuster numbers while staying true to the art medium, and and somehow still creating a truly beautiful setting in the same space.

Guillermo Del Toro
