The X-Wing Fighter is arguably one of the most iconic starships to ever grace the silver screen. In an attempt to further hype Star Wars Episode VII, director J.J. Abrams has released a special video that comes straight from the movie set.

Star Wars has teamed up with UNICEF to create "Star Wars: A Force For Change." The new project a contest for charity, with the winner scoring an appearance in Star Wars: VII, as well as a personal visit to the film's set.

Aside from donors having the chance to get a small role in the film, the winners can also snag a private screening in their city for up to 20 of their friends and family.

"We know how much Star Wars means to so many of you," Abrams said, "and we'd love to share the movie with you first while supporting this truly great cause."

UNICEF is a charity organization that focuses on the health and wellbeing of children throughout the world. Donations are used to purchase vaccines and other disease-fighting medicines that help save lives.

With its focus on Africa and other less fortunate areas of the world, UNICEF provides an essential function for the wellbeing of children everywhere.

"We are so grateful for the support that the fans from over 119 countries have shown for Force for Change," said Abrams. "As we close this final week, we've added an additional prize that allows the fans the opportunity to see the movie early as a thank you for supporting such a great cause as UNICEF's innovative, lifesaving work for children."

Disney kick-started "A Force For Change" by donating the first $1 million dollars to the project. Through their donations, fans all over the world were able to get a sneak peek at the new and improved X-Wing.

Although the X-Wing holds fast to its rustic rebel look, the engines greatly differ from where the X-Wing was left in "Return of the Jedi."

Having already taken down two Death Stars, it remains a mystery what the new X-Wing will be capable of.
