For the first time in years, tickets will be sold to Central American Cup games being played in the United States. The tournament, which starts in early September will give winning teams a spot in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the 2016 Centennial Cup America.
Tickets to the matches, which run from Sept. 3 - 13, will go on sale next week on Tuesday July 22 at 10 a.m. online or at stadium box offices. The games will span the country, from D.C. to Los Angeles.
"The two-group, seven-team tournament will kick off Sept. 3 at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. with a triple header involving both groups, featuring 2014 FIFA World Cup quarterfinalist Costa Rica taking on Nicaragua, Honduras facing Belize, and closing out with El Salvador - Guatemala," to a statement from CONCACAF.
"The Central American Cup 2014 USA then moves on to Dallas' Cotton Bowl on September 7 and Houston's BBVA Compass Stadium on September 10. The full schedule is below. The championship game, as well as the third- and fifth-place matches, will be played on Saturday, September 13, at the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum," the website said.
