Troubled actor Shia LaBeouf could be getting help getting his act together from Hollywood's royal couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
New reports indicate that while LaBeouf and 50-year-old Pitt didn't see eye to eye during the filming of the movie "Fury," Pitt and his "Maleficent" star fiance Jolie, 39, have taken LaBeouf under their wing.
OK! Magazine's insider spills: "Brad and Angelina admire anyone who works to turn their life around, so they wanted to offer Shia a helping hand," said the outlet's source. "They understand how hard it can be to kick demons." The source believes that looking back on his time with Shia, 28, Brad realized that the partying had taken over his personality."
What's more is that the site's insider explains that Brad sees the "Transformers" star as someone similar to him during his youth. "Brad sees a lot of his old, rebellious self in Shia."
"Brad's a positive guy who tries to put good energy out there whenever he can," the sourced continued. "He [Brad] loves a success story."
Aside from a number of late-night altercations and a plagiarism accusation, LaBeouf's most recent incident was during a "Cabaret" production in New York City where the star was arrested for disorderly conduct. Soon after, LaBeouf sought treatment for alcohol abuse and addiction, notes CNN.
It isn't out of character for the Jolie-Pitt pair to reach out and help others. Jolie was previously an UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) Goodwill Ambassador and appointed as the Special Envoy to the UNHCR in 2012. Brad, on the other hand, has done a lot of humanitarian work alongside his partner and on his own initiative as well.
Additionally, Jolie has been there and can relate to Shia's troubles.
The "Salt" actress has not denied the fact that she struggled with substances at a time and a few weeks ago, a video was leaked of the star under the influence when she was younger - an incident she's said to be contemplating seeking legal action for, reports Belfast Telegraph UK.
During filming of "Fury," where Pitt and LaBeouf co-star, it's well-known the pair weren't always in good terms but Belfast claims this may have triggered Brad's concern for the young actor. Allegedly, Shia performed a dental extraction on himself during production and also reeked on set because he stopped showering to get into character.
This may be the the tide-turner LaBeouf needs to get his life back on track. Angelina and Brad have been through their share of challenges and emerged stronger than ever, together.
See Pitt and LaBeouf share the screen in the trailer for "Fury, an American action-drama war film about World War II, below. The film is due out November 14, 2014 and also stars Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood, Jon Bernthal and Xavier Samuel among others.
