After an exciting 2014 World Cup, Shakira, 37, and footballer boyfriend Gerald Pique, 27, are on the news again after reports indicate that the couple is expecting their second child. Apparently, the singer is about to give their 18-month-old son Milan a sibling!
According to a number of news outlets, Shakira is often dressed provocatively and during her recent performance during the closing ceremony of the 2014 World Cup, Voxxi.com notes that not only was the singer visibly sporting a fuller figure, she was also wearing a much more conservative red dress. Many speculated the outfit, although a killer look for the Columbian was actually hiding a growing baby bump.
Caracol Noticias broke the story in Colombia and reported that the singer is already three months along the way.
Shakira has admitted previously that she is eager to have more children but her career has played a role in this not being a reality.
"If it weren't because of my music projects, I would be pregnant already," quoted Voxxi.com of Shakira talking to Latina Magazine back in April this year.
The "Wake Waka" singer also shared that another little one is not going to be enough, she says she wants to have quite a number of kids with her beau, "I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard-my own fútbol team."
The World Cup and Football have held a special place in her heart. According to the Daily Mail UK, the "Hips Don't Lie" beauty said prior to her performance, she "will never forget that I met the love of my life at the World Cup."
Aside from loving the sport as a child and having the opportunity to sing the 2010 World Cup anthem "Waka Waka" that brought her global fame, Shakira acknowledges that without the World Cup, she would not have met Pique.
The Latino also showed off her adorable personality and quipped she has "a way of consoling him [Gerald]," when she was asked how her man felt about the quick elimination of his team, the sport's defending World Cup champion.
How does the pair keep the love alive? Apparently they have rules. Mirror UK noted that when Pique banned Shakira from making music videos with hot men, she countered by forbidding hot models. They didn't seem to have a problem with it being so in love and all.
