After getting back LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers have now reportedly signed Bron's former Miami Heat teammate, Mike Miller, for two years.
Yahoo Sports sources claimed that Miller has agreed to a $5.5 million deal with Cleveland and that he was lured to the team with James' return.
But the same report notes that Miller has the choice for his second year of the contract.
Miller averaged 7.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per game during the previous season with the Memphies Grizzlies. Before his transfer to Memphis, Miller played for three seasons with James in Miami where he played as a "key reserve."
Yahoo also stated that Miller had a lot of choices aside from Miami which included the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. But the report noted that the Grizzlies turned to Vince Carter when they noticed that Miller wanted to join the Cavs.
In a similar report, CBS Sports noted that Miller turned down the other offers to reunite with King James and hopefully compete in another championship game with the Cavs. The same article shared that Miller is a sharpshooter who made 46 percent of his three-pointers during the previous NBA season with the Grizzlies.
According to CBS Sports, Miller is also favorite of James since he is really a good shooter but the report said that the player should be able to "remain healthy" in Cleveland to prove that it was a "steal of a contract."
James and Miller are friends who arrived in Miami together in 2010. Miller was able to contribute to the Heat's fight for the championship despite having injuries but Cleveland.com added that he was released by the team in a "salary-related" move.
CBS Sports, meanwhile states that the Cavs were in dire need of shooters like James and Miller whose abilities have been tested during past playoffs.
In an Instagram post, Miller shared how excited he was to play for the Cavaliers.
His photo came with this caption: "Thanks to Memphis for a great year!! But I'm so excited to be a part of the Cleveland family and their fans. The only thing you can expect from me is everything I have! Thanks for the opportunity."
Now basketball fans are surely awaiting what the tandem of James and Miller will bring to Cleveland.
