It looks like Amazon Japan has apparently jumped the gun in releasing information about the coveted iPhone 6. A post about the highly-anticipated phone was made by the company recently, but was quickly taken down after rumors began to swirl. However, the suspicious behavior leads some to believe that their specs may indeed be truthful.

The biggest bit of info released was that the iPhone 6 will be released in two different screen sizes, one being 4.7 inches and the other 5.5 inches.

The 5.5-inch device appears to be the deluxe model, as it has the highly anticipated sapphire glass that appears to be completely scratch-resistant. For a screen of that size, the sapphire glass will come in handy, as replacement could get expensive. 

The thinness of the iPhone 6 has been a point of contention among experts and armchair pundits alike. The device was reported to be 13 x 6.5 x 0.6cm, but the post from Japan says that it is 0.7cm thick.

To give a comparison, the iPhone 5S has 0.76cm of thickness, so either way it is an upgrade. The iPhone 6 is rumored to weigh 113 grams.

The Japanese post stated that the release for the iPhone 6 would be September 30, 2014. This would indeed be typical of Apple's past release dates, which usually appear sometime in mid to late September.

There is a downfall to the leaked info, though. Apple fans may be hopeful that the info is inaccurate after they see the price, since a 4.7-inch device is said to cost 139,000 yen, or about $1,380.

Keep in mind that reports state the 4.7-inch device is the lesser model than the 5.5-inch with sapphire glass. Although Apple products often come with a hefty pricetag, this looks to be out of reach for the average consumer.

Ming Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, a trusted tech analyst, has suggested that due to manufacturing difficulties with the 5.5-inch device, that specific model of the iPhone 6 will be pushed back until 2015.

The smaller 4.7-inch device will be released at the proposed late September time.

With so many rumors swirling about the iPhone 6, it is hard to know what to believe. But with a $1,380 price tag, let's hope that the Amazon Japan post is a fake.
