A new trailer has been released for BBC One's "Doctor Who" during the World Cup Finals' half time period. 

The promo, which ran for a minute, shows how Clara Oswald is adjusting to life with Peter Capaldi. With DigitalSpy.com writing: "The quick-paced trailer shows Clara adjusting to life with Peter Capaldi's Doctor, before he sends them traveling 'into darkness.' New monsters are also revealed in the clip through glimpses of dinosaurs and robots, while old enemies such as the Daleks also make an appearance."

Prior to the airing of the trailer, the series, through its official Twitter account, told its fan base to keep an open eye for series related activity.

It wrote: "Keep your eyes on @BBCOne tonight... #HalfTime #GermanyvsArgentina #DoctorWho."

The series is believed to have a total of 12 episodes in addition to the Christmas special.

In related news, a rough version of the first episode titled "Deep Breath" of the eighth series leaked online. This is the second insider break in BBC.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com, a BBC Worldwide spokesperson said: "This is part of BBC Worldwide's ongoing security investigation into leaked unfinished Doctor Who materials. This content is currently being removed and originates from the same Miami server disabled last week, it is not a new issue."

The channel explained that it is presently investigating the security issue and continued to apologize to its loyal fans, cast and crew. As a show of support from the show's viewers, a hashtag campaign, #keepmespoilerfree, was started.

"We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches. We know only too well that Doctor Who fans are the best in the world and we thank them for their help with this and their continued loyalty," added another spokesperson.

The 8th series of "Doctor Who" will begin airing Sunday, August 23 on BBC One in the U.K. and BBC America in the U.S.
