Football star David Beckham and his sons Romeo, Brooklyn and Cruz, watched the World Cup finals game in Brazil, and the boys definitely showed which team they were rooting for.
Beckham and his children, according to the Metro were in full force at the Maracaña stadium where Germany outshined Argentina with a 1-0 score. Beckham donned a denim shirt while his boys wore Argentinian jerseys with Messi's name printed on the back.
A commentator, Rio Ferdinand, was "horrified" when he saw the boys wearing the Argentinian jerseys, according to Metro.
"I can't believe Beckham has let them wear Argentinian shirts. My boys would never be allowed to do that. They'd be in England kit all the way," Ferdinand reportedly said.
The Independent explained that it seemed like Beckham has no hard feelings against the team whom he faced during the 1998 World Cup in France. It added that the soccer player experienced the "lowest point of his career" during that time.
The 39-year-old player who is already retired from the sport has also showcased his "unbelievable" looks, Hollywood Life reported.
Aside from Beckham, celebrities like Gisele Bundchen and Rihanna, also witnessed the live World Cup finals. Hollywood Life noted that 26-year-old Rihanna "decked herself out" in Brazil gear for the Argentina-Germany game while Bundchen was obviously a big fan of the sport, too.
Rihanna posted a picture of herself with football legend Pele when she arrived in Brazil before the finals game, Daily Mail said. The same report said that Rihanna has been openly supporting World Cup teams like Brazil, Colombia and Germany.
Meanwhile, Hollywood Life added that NBA star LeBron James was also present to enjoy the matchup of the two countries which made the finals game look like a red-carpet event.
Germany stunned Argentina with a goal before the last seconds of the match. Mario Gotze scored the single goal that sealed Germany's faith against Messi's team. It was noted by Daily Mail that the player kicked the ball to the goal during the 113th minute of the game. He controlled the ball with his chest before making the goal happen. Germany is reportedly the first European team to bag the World Cup title in South America.
