"Harry Potter" actor, David Legeno, was found dead in a remote part of Death Valley, California by a pair of hikers on Sunday. Officials have reported the death was caused by heat-related issues.

"The Inyo County Sheriff's Dispatch received notification on Sunday [July 6] at approximately 7 a.m. that remains had been discovered in a remote wash below Manly Beacon, west of Zabriskie Point in Death Valley," a statement given to the Hollywood Reporter revealed.

The location where the two hikers found the body was reportedly so remote that a Highway Patrol Chopper H-82 had to be called in to locate and transport the body. In addition, it appears Legeno may have been dead for up to 3-4 days prior to being found in an area that is known to reach temperatures in triple-digits.

Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy paid tribute to Legeno over Instagram and said: "Dave Legeno. It was always a pleasure. He was a great talent with a heart of gold and always had time for anyone. Dave was a soft, kind gentleman off screen but had the skill to be the complete opposite on screen. He taught me lots, You will be missed mate xx #DaveLegeno."

Death Valley is located near the border of California and Nevada and constitutes much of the Death Valley National Park. It's described to be one of the "lowest, driest and hottest areas in North America."

The British actor, who played werewolf Fenrir Greyback in three franchise films, is a health buff and mixed martial arts fighter. He has appeared in a number of films that include "Snatch," "Batman Begins" and "Snow White and the Huntsman," to name a few.

Legeno's IMDb page lists him as a cage fighter aside from being an actor but his fight career was put on hold after being part of the widely successful "Harry Potter" series. As a wrestler, he fought under the name, Lone Wolf, and was skilled in a number of combat styles including boxing, judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Judo, The Sunday Morning Herald said.

The death of Legeno was confirmed by his manager, Rick Bassman on Friday, noted Yahoo!

The actor is survived by a daughter, Wendy, who is in her 20s.
