Coming into the World Cup Final, Germany and Argentina look any different.

Germany is coming off an astounding 7-1 shelling of the home nation Brazil. Even the 7-1 score doesn't tell the entire story of the game. Brazil looked like they simply gave up after it was 3-0.

Argentina, on the other hand, comes into Sunday's match with a long drawn-out technical affair against the Netherlands. It will be interesting to see whether Argentina is worn out by their previously lengthy performance. 

With Germany winning 7-1 against Brazil and Argentina winning 0-0 on penalties, the match will largely be decided by whichever team is able to enforce their strategy. Messi was held completely lifeless by the Netherlands while Germany eagerly took notes.

On the German side, it is still unclear whether Germany was brilliant, or Brazil was just bad.

Throughout the World Cup, Argentina has won all of their games by only one goal. They are a technical team who excels with their veteran defense, while depending on Messi as the playmaker.

With the added attention to Messi, Argentina may be able to unleash another striker who will have far more space to operate in.

The unsung hero of the World Cup Final will be the fans in the stands. In their match against the Netherlands, Argentinian fans outnumbered the Dutch by a 4:1 margin. Brazilian fans will likely be rooting against Argentina, which could balance out the crowd in the final.

Angel Di Maria is one of the key playmakers for the Argentinian side. His high thigh strain has kept him out of the previous two matches, but his status for the final has yet to be updated. Germany can succumb to lightning quick attacks as they showed in the match against Algeria. If Di Maria can go, it would be a huge added benefit to the Argentinian side.

The Golden Boot will still be up for grabs with James Rodriguez scoring six goals, Thomas Muller five goals and Lionel Messi with four goals. Messi would have to have a massive game for him to steal the boot from Rodriguez.

Muller has a better shot at scoring the boot due to his 'tiebreaker' against Rodriguez. If two players tie for the most goals in a World Cup then the player with the most assists gets to take home the trophy.
