Yankees fan, Andrew Rector, who fell asleep during a game against the Red Sox in April, is now bringing his complaints to court after he claimed that he got humiliated by TV announcers who "made fun of him."

Rector is suing ESPN announcers, Dan Shulman and John Kruk, for $10 million after the two allegedly called him a "fatty cow" on live television, New York Daily News reported.

He also accused the two of allegedly subjecting him to "an unending verbal crusade" as the TV cameras continued capturing him while he was dozing off a game in the Yankee Stadium last April 13.

Rector said millions of people were watching when the two announcers allegedly called him "stupor, fatty, unintelligent and stupid," New York Daily News also noted.

"These unmitigated verbal onslaughts crossed the line between reporting on sport and abuse against the plaintiff without reasonable cause or restraint," the lawsuit states.

Aside from these allegations, Rector's filed lawsuit also included the following "false statements" that were allegedly thrown at him during the incident. Philly.com noted:

- "Plaintiff is unintelligent and stupid individual."

- "Plaintiff is not worthy to be fan of the New York Yankee."

- "Plaintiff is a fatty cow that need two seats at all time and represent symbol of failure."

- "Plaintiff is a confused disgusted and socially bankrupt individual."

- "Plaintiff is confused individual that neither understands nor knows anything about history and the meaning of rivalry between Red Sox and New York Yankee."

- "Plaintiff is so stupid that he cannot differentiate between his house and public place by snoozing throughout the fourth inning of the Yankee game."

Rector claimed that he was defamed and that he suffered emotional stress, added Philly.com.

But New York Daily News said the YouTube video of the incident does not include such harsh words mentioned by Rector.

The same report even quoted Shulman and Kruk while they joked.

"Is that guy to his left his buddy who's just letting him sleep?" Shulman said.

"Maybe that's his buddy, and he likes him a lot better when he's asleep," Kruk replied.

A Yahoo Sports report also supported this explanation, saying that Shulman and Kruk "did make fun of him a bit" while adding, "but it was hardly 'the avalanche of disparaging words.'"

Aside from the two announcers, ESPN, Major League Baseball and the Yankees were also named as defendants in the lawsuit, New York Daily News added.
