A graphic video of Saturday's great white shark attack in Manhattan Beach has surfaced online, and the contents of the video are almost as shocking as the attack itself.

In the video, a fisherman can be heard laughing and joking with a number of people off-camera as a group of swimmers unknowingly approaches the area where they've seen a great white shark.

As the group makes contact, the men continue to laugh. A man can be heard screaming over the laughter, which continues until the men apparently begin to realize the severity of the situation. It is then that they begin to warn swimmers of the shark in the water, and call for beachgoers to get out of the ocean.

The incident began early Saturday morning, when the same group of fishermen caught a juvenile great white shark about 200 yards south of the Manhattan Beach pier. They wrestled with the 7 foot shark for about 45 minutes.

The shark was still attached to the fishing line during the attack, and it only swam off after the men cut the agitated animal free.

"They were battling each other," said Los Angeles County Lifeguard Capt. Tracy Lizotte on Saturday at the scene. "The shark was clearly agitated and trying to get away."

Most of the comments on the YouTube video are critical of the actions of the fishermen, and a number of them are calling for the men to pay for victim Steven C. Robles' injuries, which are extensive.

Robles identified himself on social media after the attack.

Fishing for great white sharks is illegal, but it is unclear whether authorities have seen the video, or whether the men could potentially face any charges related to the incident.
