Zachary Quinto will not play a character in the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII."

During a fan expo in Canada, the actor said that if he was asked to do a role in the upcoming "Star Wars" film, he would reject it. He said, "I don't think that that would be...I think that I would be attacked if I turned up in the Star Wars franchise."

The actor continued, "I was just with [J.J. Abrams] for an extended time in Japan; I imagine if he had any inklings toward that, he would have probably floated out. And I don't think I could do it, I really don't. And I don't think I would do it."

Quinto added, "I don't think [Abrams] would be interested in cross-pollinating in that way. We're going to be shooting our third movie probably - also don't quote me on this - sometime next year, so I imagine there would be some overlay and I wouldn't be able to do both anyway."

Quinto was recently seen in "Star Trek: Into Darkness" and "What's your Number." He has also appeared in "Margin Call," and "Girls into a Bar." He will next be seen in "We'll Never have Paris," and "The Invitation."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is currently in pre-production with Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor rumored to star in the film. J.J Abrams will direct the film while Kathleen Kennedy will produce the script by Michael Arndt. John Williams will compose the movie while Dan Mindel will serve as the cinematographer. Disney is rumored to release the movie on Dec. 15, 2015.
