The Fourth of July is a time for remembering the heroic actions of the founding fathers of our nation. The Declaration of Independence was finalized and signed on July 4, 1776, a fateful day that marked the beginning of a nation that would go on to become a world superpower.
One of the key architects of the Declaration of Independence, John Adams, famously wrote to his wife, saying that the day would be celebrated for generations to come. "It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more."
To make the job of celebrating that much easier, we've complied a list of great firework shows and events in the Miami area. After all, there's no such thing as too much fun on the Fourth of July.
