Cavaliers point guard, Kyrie Irving, danced after he sealed a five-year, $90-million deal with his NBA team.
To celebrate, Irving woke his buddy at 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning and recorded a happy dance. Watch him "do the moves" in the video below.
This also came with a Twitter post from the player saying: "I'm here for the long haul Cleveland!!! and I'm ecstatic!! Super excited and blessed to be here and apart of something special.#ClevelandKID."
According to Fox Sports, Irving and the Cavs agreed to extend his one-year term left with the team adding that they "want to stay together."
Yahoo Sports noted that the Tuesday meeting in New York included Cleveland Cavaliers new coach, David Blatt, who already planned an offensive vision for the team in the upcoming NBA season.
The same report added that Blatt and associate head coach Tyronn Lue are two of the major factors why Kyrie took the deal.
"Kyrie is looking forward to growing with the organization and city of Cleveland over the next six years," explained the player's agent, Jeff Wechsler, to Yahoo Sports.
For his part, Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert took to Twitter to express his gratefulness for having extended Irving's contract.
"Looking forward to the next six years of Kyrie Irving in Cleveland. Just shook hands and intend to sign on the 10th. Can't be more excited about Cavs," Gilbert posted on Twitter.
Irving, according to Chronicle Online, is one of the 10 players to average 20 points and 5 assists in during the first three seasons since 1976. The other basketball stars that joined him in accomplishing this feat are LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Dwyane Wade, Allen Iverson, Isiah Thomas, Tim Hardaway Sr., Grant Hill, Allen Iverson, and Rose.
The same report added that while James is another player that the team wishes to reacquire, they also got in touch with Lakers center Pau Gasol and Wizards' Trevor Ariza to bring some additional help into the team.
A separate report from Yahoo explained that with Irving's skills and Andrew Wiggin's talent, Cleveland could bring another fruitful season and a meanigful five years to follow.
There are also other reports indicating that the team are keen to retain offensive players in the team to match Blatt's coaching style and eventually bag another NBA championship to recover from their past loss.
