And, as a bonus, our sneaky fireworks hints:
For those of you that don't want to brave the crowds at any these celebrations or pay the admission fees, there are several lookout spots around Southern California, accoridng to Daily News, which should provide a free view of one or more of the areas' fireworks displays.
South Bay
The annual Torrance Beach fireworks display can be viewed from nearly anywhere along the nearby coast or Palos Verdes Peninsula. Malaga Cove provides a great view, including some baseball fields at Malaga Cove School.
Long Beach
Those looking to take in the Queen Mary's show while avoiding the crowds should try Harrys Bridges Memorial Park, the Shoreline Aquatic Park or Rainbow Lagoon park.
Pasadena
The Angeles National Forest can provide some great views of the surrounding area, including Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. You'll want to travel along Angeles Crest Highway in La Canada-Flintridge all the way to Angeles Crest. Once there you have the option of pulling into one of the turnouts for a spectacular view of any fireworks display nearby.
Orange County
Those in Orange County can head to the top of Newport Coast for a great view of the inland area. Take Newport Coast Dr. to Ridge Park Rd. and follow it up to the top of the hill. Laguna's Top of the World at Alta Laguna Park is another great place to view most of the County.
