The major blockbuster "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is going to have a double release that will now include a game for 3DS. The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" game is coined as a third-person "hack-and-slash" gameplay adventure.
IGN.com reports that the game, which will be released on August 8, will allow players to have plenty of ninja adventure with an added bonus of mid-game swaps between the four turtles at any point in time.
The game developer, Magic Pockets, has partnered with a number of big ticket film franchises like The Sims, ghostbusters and the much-loved Harry Potter. The same company was also responsible for the earlier "Ninja Turtles" game.
According to Siliconera.com, each character will have its own skills and expertise fitted to their personalities. For example, Michelangelo will be built for speed while Raphael will be the muscle and will enforce brute strength.
As players make their way through the game, more games, levels and powers may be unlocked as well as weaponry for a more explosive gaming experience.
Gamers can expect the game to drop the same time as the cinema release of August 8 in the United States.
Meanwhile, the film, directed by Jonathan Liebesman, is the fifth for the franchise, will still focus on the four mutant warriors' fight to save the city from the evil Kingpin. Based on the trailer below, it's going to be an action-comedy adventure with lots of comedic interlude.
The film's plot is summarized as: "Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vernon Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan."

Todd Freeman, Danny Woodburn, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Tony Shalhoub, Whoopi Goldberg, Abby Elliott, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, and Minae Noji.
