Wimbledon's court on Thursday, resounded with Rafael Nadal's "Vamos" as he claimed victory against an opponent, who defeated him two years ago.
It was not an easy game for the No. 1-ranked Nadal who had to face Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic. According to Yahoo Sports, Nadal was in a tough spot during the game as he was trailing two sets to none against Rosol in the same court where they fought in 2012.
He was ultimately able to come back and emerged with a 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory for the third round in the Wimbledon.
''I didn't want to lose another time against a guy like this. I don't like to lose against a player I find (unprofessional)," Nadal told Yahoo Sports in an interview.
During the second round of the 2012 Wimbledon, the 6-foot-five Rosol was able to bag a five-set victory against Nadal when he aimed for the lines and placed shots where he wanted.
But his defeat two years ago did not bother Nadal as he told Yahoo that "he was not thinking about it." But Yahoo Sports noted that Rosol played similarly as he did in 2012. Nadal, however, came back and threw what he called "a perfect forehand for that moment" and later on claimed victory.
"I am very happy the way I played. Seriously. It is a great win for me. It is the best level I played on grass since long time ago, the last three sets," said Nadal in an interview with The Guardian.
For his part, Rosol said he did everything to play the game well but told The Guardian that he struggled with his serves on the third and fourth sets. "That was his (Nadal) game."
Other winners in the third round of the Wimbledon are Stan Wawrinka, Milos Raonic, John Isner and Kei Nishikor for the men's division and Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova for the women's.
Swiss player Roger Federer also defeated Luxembourg's Gillers Miller in a game where the former delivered 24 aces.
Now, the tournament is off to its Day 5 where Serbian Novak Djokovic is expected to go against Giles Simon while No. 2 Li Na will face Barbora Zahlalova Strycov.
Live coverage is available at ESPN from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also watch the games via livestreaming on WATCHESPN and Wimbledon.com. For day 5 schedules, visit Wimbledon.com.
