Ecuador will take on France in the next round of Group E during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. With two wins and eight goals to their credit, France has all but assured a first place finish in Group E.
When: Tuesday, June 25
Where: Estádio Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro
Start Time: 1 p.m. PT
Schedule: ESPN
Live Stream: ESPN
What to Watch For:
Honduras is hoping that France will take the afternoon off, and that they can match Switzerland's results and the other group match to punch their ticket to the knockout round. Honduras has scored one goal in the two games of their campaign. Enner Valencia is looking to continue his scoring ways and strengthen his chances as a dark horse for the golden boot.
France's manager Deschamps, captain of the last French World Cup-winning team, has helped turn this underdog French side into a true contender to raise the Cup. Karim Benzema, the Real Madrid striker, looks to be one of the tournament's top goal scorers. France will be looking to continue their momentum by making a few changes to their starting lineup. Don't expect for Benzema to be one of the players rested early in this match.
Predicted Lineup:
Ecuador: (4-4-2) Dominguez, Parede, Ayovi, Guagua, Achilier, Montero, Minda, Noboa, Antonio Valencia Caicedo, Enner Valencia
France: (4-1-4-1) Lloris, Debuchy, Koscienly, Varane, Evra, Sissoko, Valbuena, Matuidi, Pogba, Griezmann, Benzema
