However, after tournament darling Spain's lopsided loss in its opener to Holland on Friday, nothing is for certain. That being said, Germany is still Europe's best hope for winning it all this year, and they face a tough test today against Portugal. Portugal features Cristiano Ronaldo, the man many consider to be the best player in the world. And Germany boasts one of the tournaments all-around best lineups. It should be a great match.

According to SBNation, Germany's recent injuries make their lineups tough to predict. Muller could very well start in place of Reus, or Lahm could be in for the injured Schweinsteiger. We simply won't know until we get the actual lineups.

Portugal has no real injury issues. Expect Joao Moutinho and Raul Meireles to anchor the midfield action while Pepe and Bruno Alves head up the defensive effort. And Ronaldo will be Ronaldo with a little help from Nani.

Matchups to Watch

Lahm vs. Ronaldo - Figure Lahm and Ronaldo to cross paths continually during the match. It is a classic match up of great offense against great defense. Lahm, one of the world's best defenders, is typically very reliable, however, Ronaldo is the greatest offensive threat in the game. If Lahm can't slow Ronaldo, Germany has no chance.

Khedira vs. Moutinho - Moutinho's passing will be a huge part of Ronaldo's success. If Germany doesn't collapse, and gives Moutinho space, Ronaldo should be able to get whatever he wants. Look for Khedira to do his best to make sure that doesn't happen.
