"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson has his eyes on a Hollywood star and it isn't his former flame Kristen Stewart. Pattinson is being reported by numerous outlets to have referred to the "Roar" singer, Katy Perry as "so hot."

The 28-year-old actor was at a Los Angeles bar celebrating his new film, "The Rover." An insider revealed to PageSix. "They were heavily flirting. At one point, Robert sauntered to the bar with a pal and was heard saying, ‘She's so [bleeping] hot,' nodding in Katy's direction."

The close friendship the two have shared has been a hot topic for a few months with both insisting they're, well, only friends. Perry, 29, was said to have been a major shoulder to cry on for RPatz during his heartbreaking split with cheating girlfriend Kristen Stewart, 24.

Both stars are officially single but linked to other celebrities. Pattinson is said to be dating model Imogen Ker, 22, while Perry has been spotted enjoying a romantic getaway with music producer and DJ, Diplo.

DailyMail UK recalls that Perry has referred to her relationship with Pattinson as purely platonic and practically family.

"He's my bud, I'm like his big sister," comments the "Dark Horse" singer. "We just hang out." She does, however, recognize that Pattinson is one handsome bloke revealing: "One of the things I'm most proud of is not sleeping with you, Robert."

Now that it's obvious they find each other attractive, it's possible that only a matter of time stands between friendship and eventual romance.

Friends close to the pair also note the magnetism the stars feel towards each other. The Liberty Voice believe that there is "a very strong sexual chemistry" and more than something physical, "they bring out the best in each other."

Katy split with on/off boyfriend John Mayer back in February. Robert, on the other hand, broke up with ex Stewart when an affair between the actress and her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders were caught. Stewart eventually admitted to having an affair.

Hollywoodlife.com has reported that Pattinson still stays in Stewart's home. Even though they've broken up, when Rob is in town, he stays at the home of his ex-girlfriend.

"Rob doesn't have his own place in LA. When he's in town, he sometimes stays at the Chateau Marmont and very often at Kristen's when she's out of town," the source says.
