A Stanley Cup is no small feat, especially if you took it via an intense game. And so, for the heroes that toppled the New York Rangers in a double-overtime game, a parade.

Celebrating the second such title in three years—after a 44 year drought since its inception—the Los Angeles Kings will take to the streets with a Monday victory parade.

The parade will begin at noon at 5th Street, downtown L.A., and traverse Figueroa Street, according Bleacher Report.

The event celebrates the Kings' win in their longest game, ESPN reported, nailed by an Alec Martinez point, converted from a rebound off Henrik Lundqvist's pad straight to the player's stick.

It gave the Kings the title in Game 5, their 26th playoff game of the spring.

Staples Center was packed during the game, with eager fans rocking the arena with chants of "Go Kings Go!" even before the teams were on the ice, the report noted.

On Monday, the Kings intend to repay the enthusiasm as the players and coaches ride in double-decker buses and other special vehicles going on a mile's stretch of road to the Staples Center.

The Stanley Cup, former Kings players, mascot Bailey and the Ice Crew will also take part, KTLA added.

The win was made even more sensational by a bet between New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, of course won by the latter.

The mayors had bet that if Los Angeles won, Garcetti would sing Frank Sinatra's "New York, New York," on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." But, since the other scenario happened, Americans now await De Blasio's intermission: Randy Newman's "I Love L.A."

"Our Kings of the ice were once considered underdogs," Garcetti said Friday night, as quoted by Los Angeles Times. "But with two Stanley Cup wins in three years, they have proved they are Kings of the game."

Those planning to join in are asked to line up on the stretch of Figueroa street, between 5th Street to the north and Chick Hearn Court to the south, said KTLA.

Thankfully, weather conditions won't be a problem, according to Bleacher Report. It will be close to ideal, with partly cloudy skies, a high of 72 degrees and zero chance of rainfall.

An already sold-out rally will follow inside Staples Center, showing fans footage of the season's highlights; introductions of the team, coaching staff and executives and speeches from some of the players.

Ticket holders will be allowed inside the arena at 11:30 a.m., and will be able to watch the parade on the big screen, KTLA added.

KTLA released a list of streets to be closed for the parade in addition to the route on Figueroa Street between 5th and 11th streets: Figueroa Street between 3rd Street and Pico Boulevard; 11th Street/Chick Hearn Court between Figueroa Street and L.A. Live Way; and L.A. Live Way between Olympic and Pico boulevards.

It wont be the last parade, defenseman Drew Doughty hopes.

"I don't know if we're part of (a dynasty) yet, but hopefully we're on our way to that. I believe this group could be at that point, but it's going to take a lot of work," Bleacher Report quoted him as saying.
