The site noted that the injury is not only a risk for his professional career but also to the first team to select a player, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Topping the list of players for the draft, Wiggins was considered the top basketball recruit in 2013 and recently completed a one-year basketball career for the Kansas Jayhawks.

He was raised in Ontario by his father, former NBA player Mitchell Wiggins, and former Olympic sprinter Marita Payne.

Born to a family of basketball payers, with two of his older brothers also playing ball, Wiggins developed his interest for the sport early on.

In an August 2010 report by Draft Express, the then 15-year-old Canadian player was described as a player with a perfect defensive timing and intensity. The report added that Wiggings has the instincts and patience of a "lockdown defender."

The potential Top Pick, according to Draft Express, have ball-handling skills that are a work in progress but that he can make the whole team work by making great passes and assists to his teammates.

In a review comparison at NBA Draft mentioned that one of Wiggins' strength is his lateral quickness and length. Although the same report noted that he needs to work on his ball-handling skills, overall Wiggins is considered an athlete with an "unreal amount of potential."

In another featured news on the athlete, Wiggins is described by ESPN as the most spectacular talent in the draft. The Bleacher Report added that he is a player that most NBA teams would want to have.

Joining wiggins the top list of players are Jabari Parker, Dante Exum and Marcus Smart. Now, it is up for those teams to select the best players who can contribute to both offense and defense and eventually bring the team to a conference or NBA finals next year and in the coming years.
