Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin have finally revealed the name of their new bundle of joy.
Dallas, who plays Prince Charming in "Once Upon A Time", welcomed his first child with co-star and wife, Goodwin (Snow White) on May 29 and named him Oliver Finlay Dallas.
The couple met on the set of their hit show and announced their engagement back in October. They then announced they were happily expecting and surprised everyone when news broke that they already had a small and intimate wedding last month.
Perhaps, the happy new parents were inspired by their fairytale hit TV series because Oliver in Latin means "olive tree", a symbol of peace. In England, it was a common name during the medieval times.
Finlay has a Gaelic origin that carries the meaning of "fair warrior" or "fair hero." The name symbolizes strength with an angelic quality.
In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Goodwin shared that she found it really difficult to choose a name that worked well with Josh's last name.
"Naming a child though, with the last name of 'Dallas', is a little more complicated. Not a first name that begins with a 'D' because it gets porny, and nothing geographical 'cause it sounds like an airport," Goodwin told Jimmy Kimmel.
Meanwhile, Dallas took to Twitter to express how grateful he is for all the well wishes his family is receiving.
Thanks for all the well wishes about our new baby boy. We are in LOVE! He's our favorite person.
