Ever wonder what Disney's "Frozen" would have been like as a horror film? Well, if you haven't thought about it, check out this new YouTube video and see what could have been.

"Frozen" is the highly acclaimed Disney animated film that has been successful because of the unique and empowering message it sends to audiences. YouTube member Bobby Burns posted the following video trailer of "Frozen" as a horror film. (watch below)

This trailer is edited using the original movie footage and creatively twists the storyline making the film appear as part of the horror genre.

Titled "If FROZEN Was A Horror Movie," the footage shows a darker montage of scenes. The opening scene zooms into a dark, dreary palace with Anna looking under a door and suddenly Elsa appears, puts a hand on her head saying "Do you want to build a snowman?"

In the end of the would-be trailer, a grown-up Anna sits with her back to a wall and sadly says, "Do you want to build a snowman?" and ends with footage of the angry snowman giant.

‘Frozen' Movie

"Frozen" is "a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom," writes Disney.com.

The Washington Post reports that the movie is "the highest-grossing animated film in history" and "has brought in $770 million in global revenue."

What do you think of the video? Pretty spectacular in creativity, right? Think you kids, nephews or nieces would prefer this version?

The edited trailer has already been viewed almost 500,000 times with Burns suggesting recommendations for other mash-up trailers. Got an idea for another cool re-edit?
