Blondes apparently have more fun and maybe that's what the world's sexiest man, Adam Levine, was banking on when he changed his look. The 35-year-old singer for Maroon 5 tweeted on Saturday, a selfie of himself with fiance Behati Prinsloo - debuting his new platinum blond hair.

The photo he posted carries the caption, "Apocalypse prep course complete." To date, the photo has been retweeted over 5,100 times with almost 11,000 favorites.

According to Shaul Arbiv, the stylist of Levine and owner of Shampoo On 3rd Hair Salon located in LA, the color change was considered a refresh in terms of hairstyle. Explaining the transformation to People, Arbiv said, "With summer months coming up we wanted to do something totally drastic and different from his previous styles so we bleached it. I have been working with Adam for a long time and he likes to change up his style often."

Sadly, a number of fans of "The Voice" didn't take to the change with much enthusiasm. Some of the posts on Twitter include a lot of sad faces and quite a few violent reactions.

Here are some of the other comments that quickly made it on the shared photo tweet:

Adam must've noticed that while there were people saying he was rocking the new hair, there were definitely some negative comments too. Levine quickly posted after his photo:

It can be recalled that only last month, Adam Levine rocked a new hairstyle that featured a half-shaved/ undercut look.
