Aracely Arámbula called out her ex Luis Miguel for not appearing in court.
The two have two children together, Miguel, 6, and Daniel, 4, and Luis Miguel has not paid child support, according to the actress. He's also particularly good at not being served.
"Luis Miguel is like the roadrunner, cheerfully dodging process servers" she said. "Luis Miguel evades his duties as a parent, hiding behind doors and bodyguards."
As TMZ reports, in 2009 Arámbula asked for $15,000 monthly for child care in a year where he made $24,000,000 thanks to his tour.
Late last year, TMZ reported that though the singer paid some money, he wasn't very consistent in his payments. This frustrated Arámbula, who wanted financial support she could rely on. At that point in September, he had supposedly not seen his children for six months either.
The couple lived together in Beverly Hills for five years. When they split up more than three years ago, she returned to Mexico with her children.
Arámbula has been trying to get the singer to take responsibility since about 2011.
Though she first avoided suing him and continued working as a single mother, she eventually decided that he needed to be a part of their lives as well. In December 2011, according to People En Espanol, she showed up with their children to the Mexican hotel he was staying at. However, he didn't make an effort to see his children.
With the lawsuit, the actress made it clear that he could see his children anywhere and at any time, but it doesn't seem he has taken that seriously.
