Firehouse 51 endured difficult rescues and a shocking tragedy on the latest episode of "Chicago Fire."
In "Until Your Feet Leave the Ground," the team responds to a call about a man who is compressed between two brick buildings. The team arrives, and cuts the man out of the buildings in a difficult rescue mission.
Some of the firefighters also help Mouch (Christian Stolte) enhance his online dating profile and dissuade him from following Shay's (Lauren German) advice about what she looks for in a man, seeing as she's a lesbian.
Meanwhile, Severide (Taylor Kinney) helps an injured Denver firefighter who has substance abuse issues. In the end, Severide, who battled substance abuse issues himself, convinces the firefighter to enter a rehab center.
The second call of the episode involves a person who wants to jump to their death. Severide is able to tackle the individual in an edge-of-your-seat rescue.
Later, Dawson (Monica Raymund) reveals her father's plans, which causes a rift to form between her and Casey (Jesse Spencer). Dawson and Shay then take a road trip together, and put their firefighting skills to work when they see a person get hit by a car.
The episode also includes the tragic suicide of Rebecca Jones (Daisy Betts). After struggling to become a firefighter candidate, find her way in the firehouse and break free of her controlling father, Jones took her own life.
On the next episode, "A Heavy Weight": "As the firehouse staff deals with a tragedy, Dawson receives a suicide note and Severide looks into Bloom's past. Meanwhile, Chief Boden receives distressing news and asks Shay for help finding a crucial item."
