A "Game of Thrones" star is briefly leaving Westeros to became a citizen of Panem.

Gwendoline Christie, who plays the fierce warrior Brienne of Tarth on HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones," has landed a role as another military leader in the last "Hunger Games" film.

Christie will play Commander Lyme in Lionsgate's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2." She will be replacing Lily Rabe, who was originally cast in the role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rabe had to drop out of production due to a scheduling conflict involving her previous commitment to partake in the production of "Much Ado About Nothing" at Shakespeare in the Park.

The second-to-last film of the hit franchise, which will star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, is currently filming in Atlanta, Ga. The stars will not take a long break between filming; "Mockingjay" parts 1 and 2 will film back-to-back.

Christie's Lyme is one of the leaders of District 13, the Panem district that is rebelling against the government. Lyme is from District 2, and is a former winner of a past Hunger Games.

"Mockingjay - Part 1," the third of the four films based on Suzanne Collins' hit young adult novels, will debut in theaters on Nov. 21, 2014. The second "Mockingjay" film, and last "Hunger Games" film, will premiere a year later on Nov. 20, 2015.

The series' second film, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," was a huge hit when it opened in November, earning $864.6 million worldwide.

In addition to appearing on "Game of Thrones," Christie has appeared in 2009's "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus." She is repped by The Artists Partnership in the U.K. and Untitled Entertainment.
