Shakira got her first record deal at age 14 and has been unstoppable ever since. She is one of the most successful singer-songwriters of her time, and has now received yet another award. The Colombian singer won her sixth Vevo certificate after her the video for her song "Addicted To You" reached a hundred million views on YouTube.

The "Vevo Certified Awards" are given to those music videos that have accumulated at least 100 million views on YouTube and are "honored" with the mark of being "Vevo Certified." Vevo is both a website and a music video platform owned by Google, Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, Abu Dhabi Media Company and Arthur Music Company.

The artist with the most Certified Honors (over five Certified) is Rihanna, with 15 Certified videos, followed by Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. Shakira and Selena Gomez are the only Latino artists that made it to the list.

According to news site Noticias 24, Shakira wanted to celebrate this new milestone on her career with her Twitter followers. The artist is giving away an "Addicted To You" t-shirt, signed by her to those who send her a tweet using the hashtag #addictedcertified.

"Addicted To You" is the fifth and last single from Shakira´s third bilingual album, Sale el Sol. Written and produced by Shakira, Luis Fernando Ochoa, El Cata and John Hill, "Addicted" is a song that tries "to incorporate bilingual lyrics, a very 70's chorus and Copacabana sounds," according to a song review published by Terra. Its music video was filmed March 2012 on a ranch in Valencia, California and was directed by Anthony Mandler.

With her hybrid pop, rock and Middle Eastern influences, Shakira has become one of Latin pop's biggest female crossover stars, after her fourth album¿Dónde Están Los Ladrones? (Where Are The Thieves?) sold over a million copies in the U.S. alone.

The 36-year-old served as a mentor on NBC's "The Voice," season 4, but decided to take a break to focus on her little baby boy Milan and her family.

"I'm not going to be able to do next season because I have to get back to my motherhood and also get back to the studio, the recording studio, to finish my album, the one that I started working on before I had to deliver a baby and before I took this gig with 'The Voice,'" she told US Magazine.

The singer made several announcements through her social networks accounts to let her fans know that her next album is on the works, according to Noticias24.
